Blendreed is the first solo project from saxophonist Musina Ebobissé. The idea emerged in Berlin in 2017/2018 during experimentations with effects pedals. Blending acoustic and electric sound sources, the music focuses on textures. Melodies interact with their own transformations and are at once fragmented, stretched, transposed, looped and saturated. Coming from a lot of different inspirations, the music finds its way at the crossroads of modern jazz, ambient music, post rock and experimental music.
